Sydney graduated from Colby College in the spring of 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. While at Colby, Sydney worked in the Glenn Lab, a behavioral neuroscience rat lab, as a research assistant and later conducted a senior thesis examining psychomotor stimulant sensitization as a function of estrus cycle stage and biological sex. Sydney is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience at Temple University, studying the effects of early life adversity on maternal behavior under the mentorship of Dr. Debra Bangasser. Sydney's research interests include sex differences, sexual differentiation, and female-specific behaviors.
