Discovery (Biological & Genetic Mechanisms)
Madeline is a PhD student working under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Rabin at University of Toronto and Sunnybrook Research Institute. Her doctoral research aims to understand how sex differences risk and protective factors contribute to female vulnerability to Alzheimer's disease. Madeline's research leverages sensitive neuropsychological measures, mutlimodal neuroimaging, and longitudinal modelling to characterize early cognitive and brain changes in Alzheimer's disease. She is particularly interested in vascular contributions to cognitive decline and interacting hormonal processes such as menopause.
