Holly Dempster MSc


Medical Student

Holly Anne Dempster, BSc (Hon), MSc, is a medical student at Memorial University of Newfoundland (graduating class of 2021). She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from University of Ottawa in 2016 and contributed to the publication, “COX2 is Induced in the Ovarian Epithelium During Ovulatory Wound Repair and Promotes Cell Survival.” In 2018, she received her Master of Science in Biochemistry from University of Ottawa with her thesis titled, “The Characterization of the Anti-Tumour Immune Response Following Treatment with an Infected Leukemia Cell Vaccine.” Her current research interests include the effects of infertility and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome on womens’ mental and sexual health. Her research aims to create physician awareness of the struggles associated with PCOS and infertility which she believes will have a beneficial impact on how these patients are treated by physicians.
