Emilie is a graduate student in UBC's Medical Genetics program under the co-supervision of Dr. Jessica Dennis and Dr. Wendy Robinson. For her MSc thesis, she is investigating sex differences in depression subtypes and shared associations with coronary artery disease. She is passionate about understanding and translating sex differences in the interactions of genetic risk, mental health and heart health into clinically relevant contexts to improve personalized preventive health care strategies, such as the integration of polygenic risk scores into clinical care.
