Bhairavi Warke is a PhD Student in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University. Her doctoral work focuses on Designing Interactive Self-care tools for Women experiencing Perimenopause and Menopause aimed towards real-time tracking and management of symptoms which may help in possible early detection or prevention of chronic conditions and promote overall well-being.
Bhairavi holds a bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from Pune University and a master's degree in Industrial Design from Arizona State University. Prior to the PhD program, she worked as an Industrial Designer at a start-up in Phoenix (USA) developing medical devices for neonatal care. Later, she was a Design Researcher in consultancies in Chicago (USA) and Bangalore (India) where she worked with multiple client companies focusing on healthcare products & services and consumer experience. Bhairavi is passionate about Design and Design Research in Healthcare Technology, especially focusing on Aging Women’s Health & Quality of Life
