Dr. Amy Vassallo is a Research Fellow in the Global Women’s Health Program at the George Institute for Global Health and committed to using evidence and innovation to improve population health. Her current research focusses on understanding sex and gender based bias and data gaps in health and medical research; and implementation of evidence based approaches to address this, including policy reform. She is also a Founding Peer Advisory Group Member of Franklin Women, an Australian social enterprise for women working in health and medical research, curator of their monthly e-newsletter and leads Franklin Women’s research activities, which are contributing to the national evidence base for gender equity initiatives in Australia.
