Are you passionate about women’s health and science communication? Have an eye for detail and graphic design? Want to dip your toes into social media marketing? Or maybe you’re already an expert and want to help us showcase and inspire new knowledge in women’s health research through social media?
The Social Media Committee aims to engage trainees and other professionals in diverse science communication initiatives and to enrich the WHRC’s presence across our social media platforms by developing and implementing new strategies to engage our audience.
This volunteer-led committee is open to anyone involved in or interested in women’s health research, including trainees, early career researchers, research staff, and anyone from the community! Each volunteer term is four months long, although longer commitments are definitely welcomed and encouraged! We are looking for volunteers to contribute approximately two hours each week.
We have several projects planned already that may involve responsibilities like:
- Distilling complex scientific ideas into engaging, bite-sized content
- Writing captivating yet concise tweets to summarize exciting new data
- Designing graphics for promotional and educational purposes
- Producing creative and relatable short video content to promote women’s health
