Dr. M. Natasha Rajah received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Toronto, St. George Campus, and did her post-doctoral training at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, University of California at Berkeley. She joined the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University and Douglas Research Centre in 2005. She is currently a Professor in Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences (FMHS), McGill University. Her research program in the cognitive neuroscience of memory, brain aging, and Alzheimer’s Disease prevention aims to understand how sex, gender, and social determinants of health affect brain health and episodic memory function across the adult lifespan – with a focus on midlife. Her research program has received funding from CIHR, NSERC, the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Dr. Rajah has been the recipient of several honors including the CIHR New Investigator Salary Award, FRQS Junior 2 Researcher Award, Women in Cognitive Science Canada Mentorship Award, and CIHR Sex and Gender Research Chair in Neuroscience, Mental Health, and Addiction. She is Co-Editor in Chief for the journal Aging, Neuropsychology & Cognition, and Associate Editor at Psychological Science. Dr. Rajah also served as the inaugural Director of the Cerebral Imaging Center at the Douglas Research Centre, 2011-2021, and is currently Assistant Dean (Academic Affairs) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University; an Executive Board Member of the Canadian Association of Neuroscience; and a member of the Institute Advisory Board for the Institute of Aging, CIHR.
