Senior Research Scientist

Cerebra

Applied (Clinical and Engineering Applications)

I am a Senior Research Scientist at Cerebra. Previously, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Human Cerebrovascular Physiology in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary, under Dr. Marc Poulin.

Since 2017, I have been working on findings from the Brain in Motion I (BIM) study looking at the effects of a six-month aerobic exercise intervention on sleep as measured with subjective (questionnaires) and objective (polysomnography) measures, brain health (MRI) and cognition. I have also been working on the main endpoint of the BIM study, the effects of the aerobic exercise intervention on cerebrovascular regulation measured with transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) and on cognitive domains of executive functions, memory and attention. Recently I have developed an interested in sex and gender related differences in responses to exercise and on cerebrovascular regulation.
