Shani Norte Tangkhpanya

Podcast Research Assistant

Shani is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of British Columbia. From working with the elderly at the homebound COVID-19 vaccination program, to mentoring youth from foster care as part of UBC's Fostering Science program, Shani has an immense interest for public health, specifically with vulnerable and underserved populations. Her latest involvement includes advancing genomic care for rare diseases in the Medical Genetics department at BC Children's and Women's Hospital.

With this passion for playing a part in healthcare and hospitality, Shani supports the Women's Health Interrupted Podcast by conducting episode research and creating show notes.
