Alysha is doctoral student in Human Nutrition at UBC under the supervision of Dr. Tamara Cohen. Her research focuses on understanding the role gender and gender norms have on teens' food habits to create more inclusive food programs for youth. By creating more inclusive programs, Alysha hopes to use her research to better support all teens adoption of health protective food habits. Alysha has a background in behavioural science and health promotion. She is keen on incorporating community engaged scholarship in her work to create more sustainable and effective outputs for local partners like schools.
