Success! Women's Brain Health: Young Investigator Symposium

May 28, 2020

On May 12th we held a mini conference online that showcased the work of 33 women's health professionals. Seven of these presenters won our Young Investigators Award and gave 10 minute talks about their graduate work on brain aging, pharmacogenetic testing, conitive bias and psychosis. The remaining 26 presenters shared research posters and video presentations ahead of time and thoughtfully answered questions from the audience in a moderated Q&A. Their research spanned a wide variety of topics within 3 categories: Injury and Diseases, Mental Health and Sex Hormnes & Sex Differences. This event was open to the public and had 68 registrants from around the world (Mexico, Iran, New Zealand, Norway, Germany, USA, UK, Canada) as well as across Canada (ON, BC, AB). Participants encompassed a wide range of professionals including students, yoga instructors, brain injury specialists, scientists, wellness coaches, and retired educators.

Thank you to everyone that participated! We're looking forward to connecting you with more women's health research throughout the summer.
