We are excited to introduce you to the Women Health Research Cluster's first-ever Events and Communications Specialist, Negin Nia. Negin will be in charge of leading our knowledge translation initiatives including overseeing the Women's Health Blog, producing the Women's Health Interrupted podcast and helping with newsletters, social media, conferences, and events.
Negin is also a multimedia journalist from Vancouver with an interest in reporting on health, social justice, and women's issues. Before she took on this role, she was our Blog Co-coordinator for the Women's Health Blog. You can find her work in publications and broadcasters such as CBC News and Radio, The Globe and Mail, and Daily Hive Vancouver. Given her interest in this field, Negin spent the final year of her Master of Journalism program at UBC creating an audio documentary on women's experiences of physical pain, race, and treatment in North America's hospitals.
Congratulations Negin and we look forward to working with you to advance women's stories, health equity and research.
